CLIMATE
New Zealand's seasons are the reverse of the Northern Hemisphere.
This means that the warmest months are December, January and
February, while the coolest are June, July and August. Don't
let cooler months put you off - winters tend to be short and
generally fairly mild.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Most Nationalities
require a Passport valid for 6 months from Arrival.
CURRENCY The New Zealand Dollar
is the local currency, presenting great value for the Canadian
traveler with a very good rate of exchange.
DEPARTURE TAX Visitors departing
New Zealand are required to pay a departure tax of $20.00
New Zealand Dollars per person (adults and children).
ELECTRICITY Voltage is 230/240
volts (50 hertz), most hotels/motels provide 100 volt AC sockets,
however a converter/adaptor are recommended.
